Firstly, it is important to understand what is happening when your laptop starts. You said that a blue screen is showing when you turn on the laptop. So, what message is displayed? Any description or information that you can tell us? Sometimes these information are the key to solve instead of formatting the entire hd and reinstall all the operating system.
