Low Battery or Loose Connection
Make sure that the battery is charged by plugging in the charger from a working outlet and into the device. Also, make sure that the battery is properly attached.
Faulty Charger
If the charger is plugged into the wall but the light on it is not turning on, then the charger could be faulty. If this occurs, try plugging in to another outlet. If the problem persists, then the charger may be faulty. If this is the case, you may need to purchase a new charger for your device. Note that it must be specific to the device and should come from the manufacturer itself.
Faulty Battery
If the power supply adapter is plugged into the computer, and the light on the power supply is on, first verify that the adapter is plugged in securely. If the laptop powers on with the power supply adapter plugged in, but immediately powers off after removal of the adapter both after short and long charges, the battery needs to be replaced.
Malfunctioning Power Socket
Verify that the power adapter is plugged in firmly and securely. If it was, check the charging light on the computer itself to see if it is charging. If the power supply light is on but the computer is not charging, then that can mean that the power socket on the computer is broken, and should be replaced.
