Things you can try:

1. Remove AC and Battery then hold the power button down for 10sec, Connect only the AC adapter and see if that works.

2. Try checking RAM maybe if you have two module troubleshoot 1 first by using it in two ports on the system.

3. try removing the harddrive and see if it will show any difference when powered on.
